About the Film
The CREAM Foundation is working hard to put together a documentary that showcases the culture and history of San Diego hip hop, primarily focusing on the vivid stories of artists--breakers, emcees, deejays, b-girls, and b-boys--that formed the unique San Diego brand of hip hop in the 1980s and early 90s.
Our Goal
Our goal in making this documentary is to not only tell the stories of some of the most important figures in San Diego hip hop, but to also involve the youth of the South Bay of San Diego in telling these stories. Hip hop is a culture built by youth and carried on through strong relationships and mentorship, and we hope to showcase hip hop as a means of exploration and discovery of self.
